Akshay Kumar reviews Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi; calls it a ‘grand spectacle’!

It’s always a given that, anything that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali does, it’s always interspersed with terms like opulence and grandeur finding its domain in it. The opulent filmmaker’s latest magnum opus Heeramandi is no different! Ever since the time it has been released on Netflix, one can only see the audiences singing praises of this masterpiece that it has turned out to be.

The latest to join the list of the people who liked and enjoyed watching Heeramandi is none other than Akshay Kumar. Not the one to ever mince words when it comes to expressing himself, Akshay Kumar took to social media and wrote (read ‘reviewed’) about what and how he felt after seeing the entire series!

Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared a poster of the show Heeramandi, which featured all the main characters including Sonakshi Sinha, Meenakshi Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Fardeen Khan, Shekar Suman and others. After posting the poster of the series, Akshay Kumar captioned the post stating, ‘Watching Heeramandi, such a grand spectacle. Great going, Sonakshi Sinha and Bhansali productions’.

Besides Akshay Kumar, there was also the master filmmaker Shekhar Kapur who too, took to social media a few hours back and expressed his views about Heeramandi. Shekhar posted, ‘Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cinematic art is so seductive. He pulls you into his world and mesmerises you. His images stayed with me long after I binge watched the whole of #Heeramandi in one go.. and what an effective performance by Monisha Koirala @mkoirala Finally #Netflix is giving Indian filmmakers budgets they deserve’

As for the series Heeramandi, it also received immense love and praise from actor Sidharth, who just got married to the svelte beauty Aditi Rao Hydari, who, incidentally plays an integral part in the series.
