It is not a hidden fact that Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has gotten himself embroiled in an ugly controversy after a video of him physically assaulting Youtuber Maxtern aka Sagar Thakur has gone viral on social media. Several netizens heavily criticized Yadav after the same. Now, the latest development suggests that a police notice has been issued against him by the Gurugram Police asking him to join the investigation into the case.

According to a news report by India Today, the notice was issued by the Sector 53 Police Station on Saturday (March 9) under Section 41A (notice of appearance before police) of the Criminal Procedure Code. ACP Sadar Kapil Ahlawat has revealed that a case has been registered against Elvish along with 8 to 10 people. He furthermore added that the investigation for the case is still underway.

Maxtern aka Sagar Thakur shared a video wherein he claimed that he was brutally beaten by Elvish along with the latter’s accomplices. The video regarding the same also went viral on social media. This happened after Elvish and Maxtern were engaged in a social media brawl for quite some time. It all started after Maxtern made some comments on Yadav after the latter could be seen bonding with Munawar Faruqui during a cricket match. Many people disliked this gesture of Elvish who claimed to abide by Hindutva. The prime reason was Faruqui’s arrest in 2021 after making controversial statements about Hindu gods during one of his comedy sketches.

Thakur filed a complaint against Elvish and alleged that the latter tried to break his spine. The FIR against Yadav has been filed under IPC sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) for assaulting and threatening to kill the Youtuber. In his side of the story, Elvish claimed that Maxtern tried to threaten harm to him and his family. However, the latest developments suggest that Maxtern has backed out from the fiasco owing to his mother’s poor health.
