In Match 62 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Delhi Capitals (DC) bowlers did a good job of restricting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to 187 runs. However, when coming to chase the low total at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, DC witnessed a collapse in their batting as they lost 4 wickets in 4 overs.

David Warner fell cheaply for 1 off 2, while Abishek Porel departed for 2 off 3. The dangerous Jake Fraser-McGurk, who looked in fine form, was run out at the non-striker's end for 21 off 8, while Kumar Kushagra was dismissed for 2 off 3.

Swapnil Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and Yash Dayal each picked one wicket, and fans are all talking about RCB's chances of making it to the Playoffs. Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to speak about the wickets and how RCB is doing everything to win this clash at home.

As for the clash, DC won the toss and opted to bowl. RCB lost their skipper Faf du Plessis (6 off 7) and Virat Kohli (27 off 13) within the Powerplay. Will Jacks (41 off 29) and Rajat Patidar (52 off 32) posted a crucial partnership with help from the poor fielding from DC.

However, soon the Delhi franchise pulled things in their favour, dismissing the set batters in quick succession. Mahipal Lomror (13 off 8) could not stay for long while Cameron Green tried to build an innings around him. Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh both departed for ducks, and Karn Sharma (6 off 4) and Siraj were both run out towards the end.

This game will also see Delhi without their skipper Rishabh Pant, who is serving a one-game suspension for slow over-rate. DC confirmed that Axar Patel will be leading in Pant's absence.
