IPL 2024 Final - What's on Kavya Maran's mind? Fans feel bad for SRH owner amid team's woes

Not the kind of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final fans or even Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) owner Kavya Maran would have expected! Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) - just like in Qualifier 1 - have gone on to dismantle the SRH players with both bat and ball.

However, amid all this, fans are feeling bad for Hyderabad's Kavya Maran, who had been looking down and out since the wickets started to fall for her team. Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wonder what was going on in the owner's head, as on the other side, KKR co-owners Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla have been all smiles.

As of writing this article, KKR lost two wickets in Sunil Narine (6 off 2) and Rahmaah Gurbaz (39 off 32). However, Venkatesh Iyer and skipper Shreyas Iyer have been excellent with the bat.

Earlier, SRH were all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs, not a total they wanted to post after opting to bat first. Abhishek Sharma was bowled for 2 by Mitchell Starc, while Travis Head departed for a duck after facing just one ball by Vaibhav Arora. Rahul Tripathi could not weave his magic as he departed for 9 off 13, while birthday boy Nitish Reddy was dismissed for 13 off 10.

Heinrich Klaasen, who couldn't find any support, was dismissed for 16 off 17, while Shahbaz Ahmed (8 off 7) and impact player Abdul Samad (4 off 4) didn't contribute much. Jaydev Unadkat departed for 4 off 11, leaving SRH relying on their skipper Pat Cummins as the highest scorer.

For KKR, Mitchell Starc, Harshit Rana, and Andre Russell all picked up two wickets each, while Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakaravarthy took one wicket each.
