Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner dive into a 4-day mediation to resolve the custody of their daughters

Amidst a web of allegations and public statements, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have opted for mediation in their increasingly contentious divorce. Scheduled to span over four days, the mediation period is to be utilized on seeking a resolution for the custody of their daughters Willa and Delphine while focusing on forging a parenting plan for them.

Jonas, adamant about joint custody, has expressed his desire for an equal 50-50 share. Judge Katherine Polk Failla, echoing lawyer Stephen Cullen's sentiments, places the children's welfare front and center. Still, while hopes for the mediation run high, Cullen asserts that the mediation and the lawsuit should tread parallel paths.

Documents sourced from New York show that the pair have consented to keep their daughters within the confines of New York City for now. This interim decision covers the larger territories of New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley, keeping the children shielded from the transatlantic tug-of-war, at least momentarily.
