Matthew Perry's family releases a statement following his tragic passing, Friends co-stars are devastated

Matthew Perry’s tragic demise has left a deep void in the Hollywood fraternity and in the hearts of his millions of fans. The Friends actor’s family members have now released a statement following his passing. It has also been reported that his co-stars from Friends namely Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt Le Blanc will be sharing a joint statement soon and have been left ‘devasted’ after his death.

Talking about the same, according to a news report in People, Perry’s family’s statement said, “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."

Friends star cast are devastated

Meanwhile, a source close to the rest of the star cast of Friends said to Page Six that they are grieving the loss of Matthew. The source said, “The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother because that’s what Matty was their brother. It’s just devastating. The entire cast are close, they will be devastated, because they were together through the best of times and worst of times. And when Matty was sick, they protected him, they looked after him fiercely.”

The source went on to say that Jennifer, Lisa, Matt, David, and Courteney will be sharing a joint statement soon. Earlier, Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane had shared a statement that said, “We are shocked and deeply, deeply saddened by our beloved friend Matthew’s passing. It still seems impossible. All we can say is that we feel blessed to have had him as part of our lives. ”He was always the funniest person in the room. More than that, he was the sweetest, with a giving and selfless heart. We send all of our love to his family and friends.”

Perry’s body was found inside a hot tub in his Los Angeles residence on October 28, 2023. He was 54 years of age. He is survived by his parents John Benett Perry and Suzanne Morrison as well as his step-siblings.
