    Aamir Khan also revealed that Kareena's character is very much different from the original character to suit Indian society. The film is set to hit theatres on August 11.

    Ahead of the release of Laal Singh Chaddha , Aamir Khan made a revelation that he never thought Kareena Kapoor Khan would be the right fit for the female character-Rupa. The actor-producer said that initially, they were looking at casting a younger actor. However, later he was proven wrong when he saw a video shared by his casting director.

    In a recent interaction with Indian Express, Aamir described how he found his Rupa in Kareena and it was certainly a lengthy process. The story of Laal Singh Chaddha’s journey moves from 18-45 years. So, the team has decided to use VFX and special effects to show his age group onscreen accordingly. To avoid the repeating same effort on the female lead, they wanted someone of 25-26 years of age. So, that she can be turned older onscreen using make-up. However, it didn't go as they decided.

    The Thugs of Hindostan actor said that received a video from his casting director in which he accidentally found Kareena. He and director Advait Chandan were shocked to see her photo, and exclaimed, “Kamaal lag rahi thi woh” (she was looking amazing). He added, “Since she was not 25, we didn’t think of her. She read through and it all went so well. I am so glad that she is our Rupa.”

    Laal Singh Chaddha is an Indian adaptation of the American film Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks. It tells the extraordinary journey of a simple man named Laal Singh Chaddha. While Aamir plays the titular role, Kareena plays his love interest Rupa. It is being also said that Kareena’s character has been altered most in this adaptation. The film also has Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. Directed by Advait, the movie is backed by Aamir Khan Productions. It is set to arrive in theatres on August 11.
