Amidst dating rumors with Shubhman Gill, Sara Ali Khan looses THIS ambitious film

Speculations are rife that Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is dating cricketer Shubhman Gill . The two were earlier captured together dining at a restaurant in August this year. The rumours were further fueled up when a video of them together in an airplane surfaced. Amid her alleged whirlwind romance, the actress has lost one of the most ambitious projects of her career. As per reports, she has walked out of Vicky Kaushal starrer The Immortal Ashwatthama , and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is expected to take her place.

Although the film, The Immortal Ashwatthama, was initially shelved, it has been revived now. Sara, who earlier was part of the film, has been replaced from the project owing to the maker’s choice of an older actress. According to a report in India Today, “After the film was indefinitely pushed and between revival, the script has been revised as well. While the earlier script demanded a young girl to be cast, Sara was on board. However, with the dates clashing and the change of role, it was no longer doable. The script in its current state needs a slightly older actress to be cast opposite Vicky. Hence, now the makers are looking at other options,” the source said.

It is also reported that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been roped in to replace Sara. “However, nothing has been signed on the dotted lines so far,” added the source. Talking about the film, it is mounted on a huge scale and makers are spending nearly 8-10 months on pre-production to ensure everything is in place and ready. The plot of the film follows a retelling of a mythology that was mentioned in Mahabharata.

Meanwhile, Sara was last seen in Atrangi Re co-starring Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. She will next be seen in Gaslight alongside Vikrant Massey. She also has another movie with Vicky Kaushal directed by Laxman Utekar.
