Sam Bahadur OTT release: When and where to watch Vicky Kaushal's film

    Sam Bahadur is set for an OTT release after completing its successful theatrical run. It is reported that the film will stream on ZEE5.

    Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur arrived in theatres on December 1, 2023, alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal. Though the film’s business got paced down due to the clash, however, it went on to achieve a Rs 100 crore feat internationally. The film appealed to both critics and the audience alike as they were mesmerised by Meghna Gulzar’s direction and Kaushal’s exemplary performance. Soon, Sam Bahadur will be headed for an OTT release after completing its successful theatrical run.

    When and where to watch Sam Bahadur online?

    As per reports, Meghna Gulzar’s directorial is set to stream on OTT giant ZEE5. Given the patriotic theme of the movie, the makers have decided to release the biopic on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, i.e. January 26, 2024.

    Sam Bahadur is a glorious hit

    As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Vicky starrer had a decent opening at the box office, earning Rs 6.25 crore. It went to gross Rs 9 crore and Rs 10 crore on the following Saturday and Sunday, taking the opening weekend collection to Rs 25 crore. Further, the movie collected Rs 38 crore and Rs 25.8 crore in its respective first and second weeks. The collection began to decrease as the new releases including Dunki and Salaar arrived in the theatres. On day 34, the film earned Rs. 25 lakh (early estimates), taking the total domestic collection to Rs. 90.67 crore in India. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 55 crore, the film has garnered both critical as well as commercial success.

    Sam Bahadur is a poignant portrayal of the life of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Co-written by Meghna Gulzar, Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava, the film features Vicky in the titular role Fatima Sana Shaikh portrays Indira Gandhi, the former Indian Prime Minister, and Sanya Malhotra plays Sam Manekshaw's wife Sillo in the biopic. Backed by Ronnie Screvwala under the banner of RSVP Movies, the film has grossed Rs 118.15 crore worldwide.
