The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal hit the theatres on December 2023 and ever since then has been brewing a storm at the box office. Within just four days of its release, the film has managed to earn more than Rs 240 crore at the Indian box office, and looks like it is in no mood to stop anytime soon. The film has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

According to a news report in Sacnilk, Animal has earned Rs 241.43 crore in the Indian box office within four days of its release. It has now passed the Monday litmus test by garnering decent numbers. The film minted Rs 39.9 crore on its fourth day ie Monday (December 4). The movie had an overall occupancy of 48.92 percent on its fourth day. With its unstoppable thunderstorm at the box office, the film is most likely to cross the Rs 300 crore mark by the end of this week.

On its opening day, Animal had minted Rs 63.8 crore at the box office. On its second and third day, it earned Rs 66.27 crore and Rs 71.46 crore respectively. Talking about its worldwide collections, the film has earned a total of whooping Rs 356 crore. The drama-crime thriller has been given an A-certificate due to the presence of some violent, explicit, and sexual content along with a mammoth runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles.

Desimartini’s review for Animal read, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest offering Animal is not for the faint-hearted. If you thought Kabir Singh/Arjun Reddy was violent and problematic, Animal is both these films combined and raised to the power of 10 (if not more). The film begins with a promising first half. Despite some erratic jump cuts and continuity issues which tend to confuse you, the scenes, and the way they play out, manage to hold your attention, primarily because of the stellar act and towering presence of Ranbir Kapoor.”
