That many fans are already hailing Animal as probably one of the best movies of Ranbir Kapoor’s filmography is not a surprise. Not only the audience but even the director of the movie, Sandeep Reddy Vanga was left spellbound after working with the actor. So much so that, Sandeep revealed that he wanted to touch Ranbir’s feet.

Talking about the same, in a recently held press conference in Hyderabad to promote Animal, Sandeep said that even though Ranbir is younger than him in age, he wanted to touch his feet and seek blessings after seeing his performance. The Kabir Singh director added that he had never seen such kind of patience in an actor. He furthermore spoke about Ranbir having a chocolate boy image.

He said, “He might have a soft image on screen, but Chocolate Boy is just a tag for Ranbir Kapoor. He is fully alpha.”In the same event, producer Bhushan Kumar also hinted that the audience will have to watch Animal in the theatres on December 1, 2023, to find out whether the movie will have a sequel. In an earlier interaction with The Hindu, Vanga hinted that the protagonist of Animal was also inspired by some of his real-life experiences. He said, “I studied in a school run by Aga Khan Education Service in Warangal, Telangana. I had a few friends whose parents were working in Oman and Dubai. These boys would be dying to meet their respective fathers once a year. The longing I saw in them stayed with me subconsciously and I used it to shape Ranbir’s character. The dark zone, of course, is fiction.”

Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. The movie explores the complex father-son relationship against the backdrop of crime and the underworld. The film marks the first collaboration of Ranbir and Sandeep.
