Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul are married confirms Suniel Shetty: 'Officially father-in-law ban chuka hoon'
KL Rahul married actress Athiya Shetty in a private ceremony in Khandala today.
Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul are now officially married, confirmed the father of the bride actor Suniel Shetty as he greeted the press after the wedding at his farmhouse in Khandala. The actor distributed sweets and proudly proclaimed that he is now a father-in-law as he addressed the groom KL Rahul as his son.
The newlywed couple’s wedding which took place in Khandala today was an intimate gathering with only 100 guests in attendance. The media barely got any pictures of the festivities and the guests as cameras were stationed at a safe distance from the actor’s lavish home.
The wedding festivities for Athiya and KL Rahul began yesterday. The families of the couple danced the night away at the sangeet while the haldi ceremony was scheduled for the morning. The wedding ceremony began at 4 PM and Suniel Shetty and son Ahan Shetty arrived soon after the event to greet the press and also distributed sweets and thanked them.
Ahan who made his acting debut with the movie Tadap in 2021 also welcomed KL Rahul to the family saying, “He was always like a brother to me and now he is family.” Athiya and KL Rahul had confirmed that they were dating at the premiere of Ahan’s debut movie, after several months of speculations.
The wedding reception for the newlywed couple will be held post-IPL confirmed Suniel Shetty and it has been reported that it will have over 3000 guests in attendance.
Athiya and KL Rahul through a mutual friend and soon began dating. The actress regularly accompanied the cricketer across the globe as he played various tournaments with the Indian Cricket Team. After many of their pictures going viral amidst speculations of their relationship, Athiya and KL finally began posting several loved up clicks together after confirming that they are indeed together.
