Deepika and Ranveer's rendition of iconic Chennai Express dialogue will make you wish for a sequel with Meenamma

    Recently, the couple set the stage on fire in the latest released song, Current Laga from Cirkus. At the song launch event, the duo showed the same fire and even recreated one of the iconic dialogues from Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express.

    Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh never miss a chance to amaze their fans with their crackling chemistry. Recently, the two set the stage on fire in the latest released song, Current Laga from Cirkus . At the song launch event, the duo showed the same fire and even recreated one of the iconic dialogues from Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express . A video has gone viral in which Deepika reminded her fans of her character Meenaama from the movie while enacting a scene with Ranveer.

    In the video, Ranveer can be seen recreating superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue perfectly from the movie. "Impossible mere dictionary mein nai hai." ( The word impossible is not in my dictionary.) And Deepika replies, "Kahaan se khareedi aisi bakwaas dictionary?" (From where did you buy such a crap dictionary). The audience swooned over their cute rendition of the iconic dialogue at the song launch event.

    For the unversed, Chennai Express was one of the biggest hits of 2013 and Deepika played the role of a South Indian girl named Meenamma. Ranveer also praised her wife’s performance at the song launch saying that he loved watching Deepika as Meenamma in Chennai and highly rated her performance. On the other hand, Rohit Shetty gave the big news of the year after he announced that Deepika will be featuring as the first female cop in the upcoming installment of his cop universe franchise Singham.

    Meanwhile, Deepika has just done a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming comedy-drama Cirkus. Besides Ranveer, the film stars Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandes, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and many others. Set in the 60s, the film will see Ranveer and Varun in dual roles. It will hit the big screen on December 23, 2022. Besides Cirkus, Ranveer will also be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. On the other hand, Deepika has Fighter, Pathaan, Project K, and The Intern remake in her kitty.
