Siddhant Chaturvedi is a powerhouse of talent who has proven his acting prowess in films such as Gully Boy and Gehraiyaan. The actor marks his first on-screen collaboration with the new national crush, actress Triptii Dimri for Karan Johar’s upcoming project Dhadak 2. While announcing the new collaboration, Siddhant revealed that the film will hit the theatres on November 22.

Siddhant Chaturvedi to star in Dhadak 2

Taking to Instagram, Siddhant Chaturvedi shared a video, announcing that he will soon be starring in Dharma Productions' next project, Dhadak 2. The video begins with the words ‘ek tha raja, ek thi rani. Jaat alag thi, khatam kahani (Once there was a king and a queen but their castes were different hence their story ended),’ written against a beige background in Devanagari script.

Later, a painting of the main characters of the film, which are played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri appear, on the screen gradually. In the background, Siddhant says, “Jo sapna tum dekh rhi ho na Vidhi usme mere liye koi jagah ahi hai (The dream you are manifesting, it has no space for me),” to which Triptii replies, “toh fir ye bhi bata do Neelesh ki in feelings ka kya karu (Then you tell me what to do with my feelings Neelesh).”

The caption of the post says, “एक राजा, एक रानी, एक कहानी - २ धड़कनें| (Once there was a king and a queen with two heartbeats).”

Dhadak 2 release date

Helmed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is backed by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures. Set to hit the theatres on November 22, 2024, Dhadak 2 features Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles.

After seeing the video, Siddhant’s fans flooded the comment section, expressing their excitement for the upcoming film. One social media user wrote, “Definitely gonna watch in theatres!!,” while another wrote, “Such a promising teaser!.”

Dhadak 2 is a sequel to the 2018 film, Dhadak which marked the acting debut of Janhvi Kapoor. Dhadak was a Hindi remake of the Marathi film titled Sairat starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The 2016 film was directed by Nagraj Manjule and won the National Award for Best Film.

Siddhant was last seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav, while Triptii rose to national fame after starring in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
