Dharmendra feels Esha Deol should save her marriage with Bharat Takhtani; is worried about her kids

Last week, Bollywood actress Esha Deol left netizens shocked when she and her husband Bharat Takhtani shared a joint statement. After 12 years of marriage and two kids, the couple announced their separation. The former love birds shared that they have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. However, the best interests of their daughters Radhya and Miraya will continue to be the most important for them as they co-parent. Well, it has now been reported that Esha’s superstar father Dharmendra is sad with this decision and hopes she would reconsider separating from Bharat.

Talking to Bollywood Life, an insider revealed that Dharam paaji is not against the separation, but wants Esha to rethink her decision. The source was quoted saying, “Esha and Bharat both respect Dharmendra immensely. He is like a son to the Deol family, while Esha is the apple of the eye of father Dharmendra and he wants her to be happy always. As her family is getting hooked, he is indeed sad, and that’s the reason he wants them to reconsider getting separated.”

Dharmendra is also worried about how his granddaughters Miraya and Radhya will be affected by their parents Esha and Bharat parting ways. The source explained, “Esha and Bharat have two daughters Radhya and Miraya. They are very close to their grandparents paternal and maternal. Separation affects the kids badly and hence Dharamji feels if the marriage can be saved they should.” Well, we hope the family finds strength in these trying times.

For the uninitiated, Esha and Bharat first met when they were teenagers. At an inter-school competition the actress wrote her phone number on a tissue paper and passed it on to him. There were misunderstandings and they drifted apart, only to be brought together again years later by destiny and Esha’s sister Ahana Deol, who played cupid.
