Did you know Jugjugg Jeeyo’s Rangi Sari song was originally supposed to part of THIS film?

Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani featured song ‘Rangisari’ from Jugjugg Jeeyo has become everyone’s favourite for its catchy lyrics and fusion music. Well, not many know that the song was composed in 2018, and was earlier decided to be included in Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter ’s debut movie Dhadak .

Janhvi herself made the revelation during an interview while promoting her upcoming movie, GoodLuck Jerry. In a chat with Sidharth Kanan, Janhvi opened up about her equation with Ishaan, also her ex-boyfriend. She shared, “I think we are both busy now but every time we meet, there is that warmth. Rangsaari, the song that came out from Jugjugg Jeeyo, that song was supposed to be in Dhadak. So every time we’d shoot montages for Dhadak, we’d play that song. When it came out, both of us felt like this was our song and it made us feel so much. We texted each other, ‘Did you see it?’ It felt kind of funny.”

For the unversed, Dhadak directed by Shashank Khaitan released in 2018 was the remake of the critically acclaimed Marathi film, Sairat. Janhvi and Ishaan dated each other around the time, and the rumors about their romantic entanglement became the talk of the town. But they broke up soon after, although the two didn’t deny or affirm their relationship. Well, it is interesting to know that Rangi Sari is part of their indelible memories from their time of romance.

Speaking about Jugjugg Jeeyo, the family entertainer also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Kohli. Directed by Raj A Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions, the film crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

Meanwhile, Janhvi is awaiting the release of her upcoming GoodLuck Jerry on Disney+Hotstar on July 29.
