The superstar took to his social media handle to share a heartwarming tribute to his body double. For the unversed, Sagar was associated with Salman in about 50 films including Bajrangi Bhaijaan .
The actor shared a picture wherein he can be seen posing with Sagar Pandey presumably on the sets of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The Hum Apke Hain Kon actor captioned the same stating, “Dil se shukar adda kar raha hoon for being there with me. May your soul rest in peace brother Sagar. Thank u #RIP #SagarPandey.” Take a look at the same.
Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani and bodyguard Shera expressed their condolences in the comment section. According to a news report in Hindustan Times, the news of Sagar Pandey’s passing was confirmed by Prashant Walde who plays Shah Rukh Khan’s body double. Prashant revealed that Sagar suddenly collapsed while working out in the gym. The late body double of Salman Khan was around 50 years of age at the time of his passing.
Sagar Pandey was also Salman Khan’s body double in other movies like Tubelight and Dabangg. Shah Rukh Khan’s body double Prashant Walde spoke to Bollywood Hungama about the same and said, “Sagar was working in the gym when he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackerey Trauma Care Municipal Hospital at Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. That’s where he was declared dead.”
Further expressing his state of mind, Prashant Walde said, “I am quite shocked. He (Sagar Pandey) was perfectly fit and healthy. He was too young to pass away. His age must have been around 45-50 years.” The news report also stated that the late body double who hailed from Pratpgarh, Uttar Pradesh had revealed in a throwback 2020 interview that he had 5 brothers and that he took care of all their expenses.
