8 years after Ek Villain emerged as a surprise winner at the box office, the franchise has extended itself with a much bigger cast. Featuring John Abraham , Arjun Kapoor , Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria , the trailer of Ek Villain Returns has arrived and you’d have a hard time finding one villain too root for.

Bringing out the villainous side of some of Bollywood’s most love stars, the trailer has John and Arjun facing off each other while Tara and Disha seem to have a plan of their own going on the side.

The trailer picks up the story of the film right where the original ended with Riteish Deshmukh playing the villain in Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor ’s love story. There’s a new villain in town who is targeting girls with ‘one sided lovers’ and wants to be the messiah of broken hearted lovers.

While initially it would seem that it is John Abraham, who is on a killing spree, Arjun Kapoor soon becomes your next suspect as he is abandoned by Tara Sutaria after an affair. John, on the other hand, has seems of have a one sided love for Disha Patani who seems to be leading him on to playing the villain.

There’s a connection between the two love stories, which we will have to watch the movie to realise but from the trailer it seems it lies somewhere between Tara and Disha.

An action packed fight between Arjun and John in a metro compartment catches your attention instantly and so do Disha and Tara’s alternate personalities with their villainous side coming out.

Ek Villain Returns trailer seems to pack many more twists than the original and is much grittier and darker. Directed once again by Mohit Suri , the film arrives in cinemas 29 July with answers.
