Exclusive- Chitrangda Singh reveals how Sara Ali Khan scandalized her on Gaslight set one night: ‘I was pretty shocked’

After winning us over with her gripping performance in Bob Biswas, the gorgeous and supremely talented Chitrangda Singh is all set to return to the thriller genre with her next film. Titled Gaslight , the Pavan Kirpalani directorial also stars the bubbly Sara Ali Khan and the versatile Vikrant Massey in the lead. The trailer was quite intriguing but it was Chitrangda, Sara and Vikrant who left us in awe of how convincing their characters looked. Apart from the interesting trailer, what got fans super excited for this film is Chitrangda’s chemistry with Sara in their announcement video and recent photo shoot. But how was their experience of working together?

Well, in an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Chitrangda revealed that she loved working with Sara and described her as the ‘most unpredictable girl’ who has great energy on set. Chitrangda shared, “She loves to scandalize people, by the way. That's something I think she loves to do, she gets a kick out of that. She loves to scandalize people and throw them out of their comfort zones, you know. But she's so fun! She's lovely on set.” When asked if Sara managed to scandalize Chitrangda, the actress replied, “She managed to scandalize me a couple of times on set. I was pretty shocked. But that's just who she is, so chilled out and easy. She's a lot of fun.”

Chitrangda was initially hesitant, but finally revealed, “In the middle of the night, it's a night shoot okay? And it is absolutely dark outside. Matlab pitch dark. We are in a palace which doesn't have any light connections. So the only light is the light on the set. And this girl wants to go and, go to the loo. But there is no bathroom around, right? So she just goes out in the open, by herself in pitch dark. I was like 'where did you go' because I wanted to go back to the van. She's like 'I've done it' (Laughs). Anyway, I can't tell you where she went but like she's really chilled out, like a really cool girl.”

Now that is quite scandalous, but also so relatable! Well, Chitrangda and Sara clearly had a great time together on set. We can’t wait to witness the magic they create on-screen when Gaslight arrives on Disney+ Hotstar on 31st March.
