'Fake manipulated figures': Kangana Ranaut says Tiku Weds Sheru is one of the biggest hits of the year, netizens troll her
Recently, Kangana took to Instagram and declared that her movie has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year.
Ever since Kangana Ranaut’s maiden production venture Tiku Weds Sheru was released on Amazon Prime Video, the actress has been keeping a watch on its figures. Recently, she took to Instagram and declared that her movie has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. “After fighting all the paid negativity and disdain of the mainstream media this is the result, TWS emerges as one of the biggest hits of the year..thanks to all the supporters,” she wrote on her Instagram stories while sharing the chart of viewership estimates in India.
Directed by Sai Kabir, Tiku Weds Sheru stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. The film follows the story of two eccentric, starry-eyed characters, who want to make it big in Bollywood. Despite receiving mixed reviews from both audience and critics, the film secured the 4th spot in viewership on Amazon Prime Video.
Kangana re-tweeted a fan-page post that read, “Tiku Weds Sheru emerges as @PrimeVideoIN's most-watched movie of the year so far! Also securing the remarkable #4 spot in overall viewership, this June sensation has already amassed an astounding 11M+ views.” Soon after, the netizens reacted to Kangana’s claim. “I hated the movie. It left a bad feeling. Also, very badly made film,” said one of the users. The second user stated, “Fake manipulated figures! Nobody I know has watched it even for free!” “Tumhare liye to Dhakad bhi superhit thi,” added another.
Meanwhile, Kangana recently lauded Hollywood film, Oppenheimer on Instagram. She wrote, “Christopher Nolan’s best work so far …Most important film of our time…I am so excited I just didn’t want it to end … it has everything I deeply love, I am passionate about Physics and politics …For me this was like a cinematic orgasm… beyond wonderful!! P.s also just realised in the above video I meant to say nationalism* rises instead of nationality …” On the work front, Kangana will next be seen in Emergency, Tejas and Chandramukhi 2.
