'He is not Salman or Shah Rukh' : Netizens take a dig at the maddening craze surrounding Ranbir Kapoor at an event

    Ranbir Kapoor is basking in the success of his latest release, Brahmastra which has crossed the coveted Rs 200 crore club. On the occasion of National Cinema Day today (September 23), Ranbir along with Ayan Mukerji visited a popular mall in the city to greet fans watching their film. However, such was the craze of the actor that some of the fans gathered to meet him fell down due to the increase in the crowd which ensued huge chaos. But netizens weren’t amused and soon started questioning the maddening craze behind the actor at the occasion.

    Talking about the same, a viral video shows Ranbir Kapoor interacting with a little fan. However, the video further shows how a group of fans including women fall down due to a mob-like situation. Ranbir immediately bent down to help the fans get up. Take a look at the video.

    The netizens had quite a few reactions to seeing the massive craze for Ranbir Kapoor at the event. One netizen said, “Ab kya bolenge #boycottbollywood wale?” thus taking a dig at the section of the population who had wished to boycott the movie and the actor too. However, some netizens started criticizing the situation wherein they stated that fans shouldn’t risk their lives to just catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. Some also questioned the worth of Ranbir to even have such a mammoth craze around himself. A netizen stated, “Public needs to be careful at such events” while another user said, “How silly public is! They put themselves in danger for just one glance or selfie.” A netizen further questioned, “Why are we and all are crazy to meet these actors?” and another user went on to say, “Why they do all this he is not Salman or Shahrukh.”

    Talking about Brahmastra, the movie is continuing to do successful business at the box office. The film became the highest-grossing one for any Bollywood movie this year. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt , Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna in the lead roles.
