Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare wedding: Aamir Khan kisses ex-wife Kiran Rao; Reena Dutta, Junaid Khan pose with newlyweds

Actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare got married at Taj Lands End on Wednesday in Mumbai. The wedding was attended by both the groom and bride’s family including Ira’s mother Reena Dutta, her brother Junaid Khan, Aamir’s second ex-wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao. The couple solemnized their relationship via a registered marriage in the presence of family and close friends. Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani also came to bless the newlyweds.

Several videos and pictures from the wedding have been doing rounds on the internet. Groom Nupur broke the stereotypes as he jogged from his house to the wedding venue in a black vest and shorts. He also danced to the dhol beats with his friends outside the venue. He completed the nuptial ceremony in the same attire while bride Ira opted for a a deep-cut choli with pink and blue coloured dhoti pants. Nupur changed into a blue bandh gala suit for a photo-op with his now-wife Ira after the wedding. The couple was joined by Reena, Junaid, Aamir, Kiran and Azad on the stage for the pictures.

One of the videos showed Aamir walking toward Kiran and Azad and speaking to her. He kissed her while she posed with the entire group for a picture. A moment later, she was seen walking away from the group, but Aamir asked her to join them for a picture. Reacting to the video, a social media user said, “Himmat hai bhai..current wife ke samne ex-wife ko kiss karna..hats off Aamir bhai.” Another user said, “What was the purpose of divorce when you are doing everything.” “He divorced her but I think they still love each other,” another user added.

For the occasion, Aamir wore a cream-coloured sherwani and a pink turban. Reena was seen in a white blue and golden outfit, while Kiran sported a golden and green dress. Junaid and Azad looked handsome in their formal suits. Meanwhile, newlyweds Ira and Nupur have planned a grand wedding function in Udaipur on January 8, which will be followed by a grand reception for Bollywood celebrities on January 13 as per reports.
