    Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has withdrawn her plea seeking 15-days permission to travel abroad to attend the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Dubai and travel to France and Nepal for work commitments.

    As per news agency ANI, the Kick actress withdrew her application from the court of Additional Sessions Judge Praveen Singh, citing the dates of the IIFA award event, earlier scheduled from May 17 to 22, has been postponed to June.

    Fernandez had filed a plea requesting the release of her passport and sought permission from the court to travel to Abu Dhabi, UAE. The application further stated that the actor represents the Hindi film industry at the Cannes Film Festival and has been invited to attend and participate in the same from May 17 to May 28, 2022, in France, and also associated with the Dabang show since 2017 and has been further invited to attend the same in Nepal from May 27 to May 28, 2022.

    For the unversed, Enforcement Directorate has been investigating Fernandez in Rs 200 crore extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She has been stopped by the probe agency to fly abroad as she may be required to join an ongoing money-laundering investigation. Earlier, a lookout circular was issued against her, and she was also detained at the Mumbai International Airport last year.

    In the recent development, ED has submitted that the actress’s pass to attend the particular event in Nepal has been cancelled, and regarding the travel to France, she has not submitted satisfactory documents. Also, the agency had denied returning her Sri Lankan passport, stating that if she gets the passport then she might not come back to India.

    Fernandez has been grilled by the ED in multiple sessions in connection with Chandrashekar’s money-laudering case. The agency had alleged that the con man had gifted the actress numerous costly gifts, including some Persian cats and a horse.

    On the professional front, Jacqueline was last seen in Akshay Kumar ’s Bachchan Pandey. Her upcoming projects include Ram Setu co-starring Akshay and Nushrratt Bharuccha , and Rohit Shetty ’s Cirkus alongside Ranveer Singh , and Pooja Hegde .
