    Janhvi Kapoor on Sridevi’s films

During a conversation with India Today, when the interviewer asked Janhvi if she would like to star in one of her mother’s (Sridevi) films, her Mr. & Mrs. Mahi co-star Rajkummar Rao answered for her, saying that she would love to do it but would be very scared. He added that Janhvi would love to do Sadma and Chaalbaaz but would be very scared to do it. Janhvi added that she would love to do the films that Rajkummar mentioned, but at the same time, she feels that nobody should touch her mother's films.

Rajkummar agreed to this and added, “Yeah, I think we should not touch those.” Referring to Marlon Brando’s character from The Godfather, the actor said, “There's no point in somebody playing a Vito Corleone again. Brando did it so well. It's perfect. You can't touch perfection.”

Janhvi Kapoor speaks about her love for cricket

In the same interview, when the interviewer asked Janhvi about how she trained to play cricket, Janhvi said that she trained for two years. She said, “You just have to put in the work, do it honestly, and fall in love with the sport. I don’t think there’s any other way to do it. So I think more than just the hours spent doing the physical training, I think (it was also about) watching as many matches as possible, watching people play in the net as much as possible and being around people that are so passionate about the sport.”

Adding to this, Janhvi said that she watched her director, Sharan Sharma, the coaches, and Dinesh Karthik play during practice sessions. She said that it was a blessing to just be able to observe them and fall in love with cricket. The actress also revealed that there are no VFX shots in the film and she feels very proud of that because she didn’t want the budget of the film to go overboard because of her.
