While Kangana Ranaut already has some interesting projects in the pipeline, the latest development suggests that the actress might have something meaty in store for her. According to a news report by Etimes, director Madhur Bhandarkar is planning to helm a project which is based on a Kashmiri singer who was killed by terrorists. The director we hear has Kangana in mind to play the lead female protagonist.

The news report furthermore stated that the film will be a woman-centric project which is inevitably the forte of Kangana Ranaut. Well, this surely sounds like good news for the fans of The Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi actress. However, there have also been some reports by the publication that state that the film might be put on hold right now owing to the disastrous box office collection of Kangana’s recently released movie Dhaakad .

Not only this but since Taapsee Pannu’s female-driven sports biographical drama Shabaash Mithu also failed to work wonders at the box office, the makers of this ambitious film are for now contemplating putting it on hold. Meanwhile, apart from this, Madhur Bhandarkar is gearing up for his upcoming OTT release titled Babli Bouncer starring Tamannnaah Bhatia in the lead role. The comedy movie also stars Sahil Vaid, Saurabh Shukla, and Abhishek Bajaj in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut has started directing her second directorial project, Emergency in full swing. The movie also has her playing former Prime Minister Of India, Indira Gandhi. The actress recently shared an announcement teaser of the film with some power-packed posters. Earlier sharing a BTS video behind the making of the announcement teaser, Kangana had stated, “Here is the making of the first look of my directorial movie Emergency, the first look took the nation by storm … thanks to my incredible team, every day is a dream come true … I have some of the best people in the world… Go team Emergency.”
