Kareena Kapoor Khan admits ignoring filmmakers because she’s lazy; says ‘I want to take my afternoon naps’

Bollywood is one industry where it is believed that the career of actresses is short-lived in comparison to male actors. To some extent, that is true. But things have changed over the years and the industry as well as our society has evolved. Well, all these years if there is one actress who has been irreplaceable no matter what, it is the iconic Kareena Kapoor Khan . The beauty is a happily married wife and mother of two adorable sons along with being one of our country’s top actresses.

In a recent chat with Mid Day, when asked the secret behind her lasting career, Kareena replied, “Today, we have wonderful actors doing amazing work, but I don’t need to be on a magazine cover or do a brand show to establish that I am successful. I know what I bring to the table, and I choose to not do certain things. I would choose a holiday over a 20-day filming schedule, but that’s the kind of person that I am. Obviously, when I am on day 20 of the holiday, I will think about returning to sign a movie, or do something.”

She explained, “Sometimes, I feel I shouldn’t be unemployed and should return to reading scripts and hosting meetings, because I am very lazy and will get into a slumber and not respond to [filmmakers]. I may think that I don’t want to do meetings, because I want to take my afternoon naps instead. So, it’s a fine line; you have to catch me on a good day.”

Currently the beauty is gearing up for the release of her next film Laal Singh Chaddha , which reunites her with her 3 Idiots co-star and Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan.
