Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s feud dates back to Devdas when the filmmaker selected Aishwarya Rai over her for the role of Paro in the movie. The controversy further brewed up when Kareena bad-mouthed him in the media. However, in the recent appearance on an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8 alongside Alia Bhatt, Kareena hinted at the possibility of working with Bhansali.

It so happened that during the Rapid-fire round, Bebo was asked who was Bhansali’s better muse - Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. To which Alia reacted, “Please don't say my name. Just take anybody else's name.” And Kareena finally said, “I still have a chance to work with him (Bhansali). So…”And Karan quipped, “Aa gayi na line pe.”

Talking about Bebo and Bhansali’s long standing differences, the actress had done a look test for the 2002 film, however, she was rejected and the project eventually starred Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit opposite Shah Rukh Khan. During the interview with Filmfare, she was asked if she’d ever worked with Bhansali she said,“I’ll never. What he did to me was wrong. He screen-tested me for Devdas, gave me a signing amount, then took someone else. That was wrong, it hurt especially because I was at the start of my career. It’s okay, because the day he dropped me, I signed Yaadein. Sanjay hurt me. Even if I have no work, I’ll never work with him.”On the other hand, Bhansali revealed his side of the story and said that there was no agreement with Kareena about starring in Devdas.

He also added that the actress said he didn’t know how to make films. “Kareena is a fabulous girl who’s doing very well in life. However, I’d like to inform her that I do know how to make films. She has tried to tell me that she was misquoted but I’d like her to know that I’ve heard those tapes. Recently, we met at Sikander Kher’s birthday party. I told her that if I have a suitable role for her, I’ll cast her. Till then, I’ll brush up on film-making,” he told the Filmfare.

Back in 2013, Kareena was approached as the main lead in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, however, she walked out of the project days before the filming began. The role then went to Deepika Padukone. Meanwhile, Bhansali last project, Gangubhai Kathiawadi starred Alia Bhatt. He is geared up for Netflix series Heera Mandi. On the other hand, Kareena has Singham Again, The Crew and Buckingham Murders in the pipeline.
