‘Katrina & Deepika aren’t dying to work with you’: Varun Dhawan trolled for saying he looks younger than the actresses

Karan Johar’s ‘student’ and actor Varun Dhawan is all set to grace the koffee couch in the next episode of Koffee With Karan 7 . He will be joined by veteran star Anil Kapoor, who portrayed the role of his on-screen father in Jugjugg Jeeyo. Well, the trailer of their episode is out and fans are pretty excited about seeing the duo at their entertaining best! However, one statement made by Varun on the koffee couch has left a few netizens displeased, who are now trolling him on social media.

When asked if he would like to share the screen with Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone next, the actor replied that he is always told he looks like a kid. KJo asked if he thinks the two leading ladies look older than him. To this, Varun responded, “No, I look younger than them.” When Karan stated that it means they look older than him, the actor said, “You’re saying that.” Well, netizens are not having it! One fan tweeted: “Aaya bada khud 35 saal ka hai #VarunDhawan ... and saying indirectly #kat and #deep looks older than him such a bull shit .. they r not dying to work with u either ..”

Well, Varun’s statement is quite unexpected. Especially because he was going to share the silver screen with Katrina in Street Dancer 3D, before the actress opted out due to date issues back in 2019. Shraddha Kapoor was roped in later to fill in as the lead actress of the dance film. Fans are obviously upset because Katrina as well as Deepika are two of the most sought after, most gorgeous and top heroines of the country today.

But let’s wait for the episode to see what Varun said next. Maybe he was just joking. Oh, the couch and the controversies it brings with it!
