Kirti Kulhari’s new hairstyle leaves fans divided; trolls write ‘Bhai tu to hero lag raha hai’

Bollywood actor Kirti Kulhari is making buzz on social media. But this time, it is because of her brand new and funky hairstyle, which has left a section of her fans in disbelief. Kirti who was until now seen with almost shoulder-length hair took to her official Instagram handle to share a video of her new hairstyle.

The Pink actor who got her long tresses chopped clarified that the new hairstyle is not due to the requirements of any project but out of her will. Kirti, who has a one-and-a-half decade-old acting career, said it took her a month to finally come up with the new hairstyle. Kirti wrote, "Here I am, making another such choice and living my life my way. Thank you Aavni @happyinthehead for always being my partner in crime. Only love for you... PS: no it’s for not any role. It’s FOR ME..."

Kulhari captioned her post: “New endings, new beginnings. Decided to do this a month back and here I am, having done it. I work in an industry where being a heroine comes with its own set of restrictions and limitations. Long hair or at least shoulder-length hair is an unsaid mandate. Here I am, almost 15 years later, in the industry, doing my thing. I have no time to not do what I want to do… and each time I have done something which is not the norm, I have felt empowered and nothing short of it.”

Soon after, Kirti’s fans seemed excited about her new short haircut and shared their reactions on her Instagram post. A fan wrote, "I am so happy I follow such brave women who defy every standard, every stereotype and just live their best life, putting up the best authentic versions of themselves out there!!” Another said: "She looks like Ken doll at first glance." On the other hand, there were some critics too. One of the trolls wrote: “ Abhi cha lag raha h naya naya m… Baad m jo regret hoga.” Another said: “Bhai tu to hero lag rha hai.”

Meanwhile, Kirti was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video series, Four More Shots Please! Season 4. She is all set to appear in a comedy-drama, Khichdi 2, directed by Neeraj Pathak, co-starring Supriya Pathak, Anang Desai, and Jamnadas Majethia.
