L2 Empuraan: Malayalam actor Nandu shares an interesting update from the sets of Mohanlal-Prithviraj film

With the shoot for Mohanlal-starrer L2 Empuraan going on in full swing, fans have been waiting to see a glimpse of their favourite characters. L2 Empuraan is the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster hit Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Malayalam actor Nandu, who played the role of PS Peethambaran in Lucifer, is set to reprise his role in the second part as well.  

Nandu shares update from L2 Empuraan sets

The actor recently took to his social media handles to share a selfie with fellow cast mates Manju Warrier and Saikumar in a candid post with a caption that read, “Peethambaran is in. "L2". Met Priyadarsini Ramdas and Varma sir after a long time,” the actor wrote.  

It looks like Manju Warrier who essayed the role of Mohanlal’s foster sister Priyadarsini Ramdas in Lucifer and Saikumar who played acting CM Mahesh Varma are currently shooting for the Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial. Last time it was reported that the team had begun their Kerala schedule from Thiruvananthapuram and will cover locations in Idukki, Kochi and Vandiperiyar as part of the schedule.

Mohanlal's first-look poster to be released on a special day

According to earlier reports, the makers of L2 Empuraan are aiming to release the eagerly awaited first-look poster of Mohanlal as Khureshi Ab'ram on the actor’s birthday, May 21. However, an official confirmation about this is awaited. Although the film is currently in the production stage, the makers might be planning on celebrating Lalettan’s 64th birthday with a special delight for fans.

Earlier, Mohanlal opened up about the much-awaited action thriller and revealed that the film has a "brilliant" script. The superstar mentioned that the project, written by actor-writer Murali Gopy, is a grand production. The sequel to the 2019 Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer, L2 Empuraan, is the second film in the three-part franchise and will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Sujith Vaassudev will be returning as the cinematographer, while composer Deepak Dev scores the music for the action thriller. The movie is jointly bankrolled by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions. It marks Lyca Productions' debut in the Malayalam film industry.
