Actress Mallika Sherawat is undoubtedly one of the most fierce and bold celebrities of the Hindi film industry, who is never afraid to speak her mind. She is unabashedly herself, which is what sets her apart from many others. She rose to popularity with Murder and went on to give several hits like Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Welcome amongst others. However, soon she decided to pursue a new career path in Hollywood. The actress had stated that she had had enough of bullying and harassment from Bollywood as well as the media.

Well, in a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Mallika opened up about casting couch in the industry. She was quoted saying, “All the A-lister heroes refused to work with me, because I wouldn’t compromise.” She claimed that these actors like actresses who they think they can control and who would ‘compromise’. But Mallika did not want to subject herself to someone’s whims and fancies.

When asked what she meant by compromising, Mallika revealed, “Sit, stand, anything. If the hero calls you at 3am and says, ‘Come to my house’, you have to go, if you are in that circle and if you are doing that film. If you don’t go, then you are out of the film.”

Back in September last year, in another interview, Mallika had opened up about another infamous subject in the Hindi film industry-- nepotism. She called it Bollywood’s tradition and had revealed that she was replaced by a hero’s girlfriend or someone’s niece. The actress was last seen in Rajat Kapoor’s comedy drama RK/RKay.
