‘Malti can get away with anything’: Priyanka Chopra reveals why it would be difficult to discipline her daughter

Apart from being a global icon, one of the most successful stars of the film industry and a loving wife and daughter, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is also a doting mother. The actress and her singer husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child into the world in January 2022 via surrogacy. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter who they named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Their journey of parenthood has been rewarding but equally difficult because their daughter, who was delivered a trimester before the due date, spent her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

It has been a year since Nick and Priyanka brought their daughter back home with them. Talking about the same in a recent chat with Elle, the actress shared, “She’s got me wrapped around her finger. I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do.”

Well, that’s the thing about daughters. They deserve the best and most parents know that. Another sweet revelation made by Priyanka was that Malti Marie is always surrounded by her family. Even right now when the actress is busy with promotions of her web series Citadel, Nick is constantly with the young star kid. Also starring Richard Madden, the science fiction action thriller is all set to premiere on streaming giant Amazon Prime Video today with the first two episodes.

Up next, PeeCee will shine on the silver screen in Love Again. The romantic comedy also stars Sam Heughan and Celine Dion.
