    The entire nation is celebrating Payal Kapadia’s directorial film All We Imagine as Light, which won the Grand Prix award at Cannes 2024. Congratulatory messages are pouring in for the team, and the Big Ms of Mollywood—Mammootty and Mohanlal — also took to their social media handles to congratulate the artists and express their joy over the news. Megastar Mammootty, who first congratulated the artists on his X page, wrote, 'Making Indian Cinema Proud. What an amazing achievement. Congrats to Payal Kapadia, Kani Kusruthi, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and the entire team of All We Imagine as Light.' 

    On the other hand, Mohanlal not only praised the artists of All We Imagine as Light but also congratulated director-cinematographer Santhosh Sivan and Anasuya Sengupta for their respective victories. 'A momentous occasion for Indian Cinema as Payal Kapadia, Kani Kusruthi, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and the talented team behind All We Imagine as Light bask in glory!     While All We Imagine as Light won the Grand Prix award, cinematographer Santhosh Sivan won the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Additionally, Anasuya Sengupta made history by winning the Best Actress award for her role in Bulgarian director Konstantin Bojanov's The Shameless.

    All We Imagine As Light, directed by Payal Kapadia, follows the lives of two nurses from Kerala, played by Kani Kusruti and Divya Prabha, who are colleagues at a Mumbai hospital and are also roommates. When Kani receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband, her regular life is disrupted. In the busy city, her younger roommate, played by Divya, struggles to find a spot to be intimate with her boyfriend. When they take a trip to a coastal town, their lives change.
