Metro In Dino: Aditya Roy Kapur-Sara Ali Khan starrer anthology film postponed, to now release on THIS date

Ever since the makers have announced Metro In Dino, fans have been eagerly waiting for its update. Much to fans’ disappointment, they have to wait a little longer to watch the film. On Thursday, the makers have announced the new release date of the film. The film, which was earlier slated to release on March 29, 2024, now the film will be hitting the theatres on September 13, 2024.

The official handle of the production house T-series took to Instagram to share the new release date. "#MetroInDino gets a new release date. This anthology of heartwarming stories will now release on 13th September 2024." Directed by Anurag Basu, the upcoming anthology stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Konkana Sen Sharma in the lead roles. The film will showcase bittersweet tales of human relationships based in contemporary times.

Talking about the film, Basu had earlier said, "Metro...In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while since I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me!" He added, "The storyline is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them. As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn't be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work,” he said in a statement.

Metro in Dino is the upcoming second instalment of 'Life in a... Metro' (2007), which starred ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. Besides Metro In Dino, Anurag Basu will also be directing third instalment of Aashiqui franchise, Aashiqui 3 with Kartik Aaryan.
