Mouni Roy's Brahmastra co-stars Ranbir-Alia not on the guest list, actress cancels Mumbai reception?

Mouni Roy is all set to tie the knot with her beau, businessman Suraj Nambiar in Goa at the end of this month. The event was supposed to be a close one, attended by just close friends and family members of the bride and groom and it would have been followed by a reception in Mumbai for all the industry friends. However, with the rising number of cases, it looks like the Mumbai reception has been cancelled.

According to a report in India Today, only a total of 100 people will attend the wedding, and it won't have anyone from the industry. A source said, "Mouni has invited very few people from the industry. However, due to the current Covid-19 situation, there are chances that they won't be attending the wedding. She has also invited Ekta Kapoor, but since she is unwell, she won't be attending. It is going to be a complete family affair. All Covid-19 protocols are being followed. Mouni's beau Suraj has invited his friends from Los Angeles and they will have to be quarantined for a few days before attending the wedding."

A report in TOI claims that the Mumbai reception has also been cancelled. A source was quoted saying, “Mouni and Suraj had planned a reception party for their friends and her industry colleagues. However, keeping in mind the surge in COVID-19 cases, they have cancelled the party. She doesn’t want to put anyone’s health at risk. Her family and close friends will be attending the wedding in Goa. The actress has planned both a Bengali and South Indian-style wedding, as she wants to incorporate rituals from both regions on her big day.”

Well, with the pandemic everything has become uncertain and many celebs opted for a small celebration for their wedding. Stars like Varun Dhawan , Katrina- Vicky also had a very close-knit wedding ceremony.
