Manam holds a special place, says Naga Chaitanya

When the re-release news was announced earlier by the makers, Naga Chaitanya tweeted “Manam holds a very special place in my heart. Excited to bring ANRLivesOn back to theatres to celebrate 10 years.” The romantic family drama not only is special to Naga Chaitanya, but also holds a very special place in Telugu cinema for bringing three generations of the Akkineni family — Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, and Naga Chaitanya — together on the screen. The film’s music tracks composed by Anup Rubens gained huge popularity when it was released, contributing to the film’s overall success. The film also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shriya Saran as the female leads.

Manam was directed by Vikram Kumar. Incidentally, the film was also the last on-screen appearance of legendary actor A Nageswara Rao, who passed away in January 2014, a few weeks before the film's release.

On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is currently working on his upcoming sea action drama Thandel alongside Sai Pallavi.
