'No pale-looking druggie soy boy…’: Kangana Ranaut questions casting of Ranbir Kapoor as Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana

There are reports that filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has roped in actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to play Ram and Sita in his upcoming ambitious project, Ramayana. The upcoming epic drama will reportedly see South superstar Yash as antagonist Ravana. However, the makers have not yet made the official confirmation. Amid this, Kangana Ranaut has shared her reaction to the casting and slammed the choice of Ranbir as Ram in the upcoming film.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana penned a long note calling Ranbir a ‘skinny white rat, ‘druggie’ and ‘womaniser, without mentioning his name. “Recently I am hearing news about another coming up Bolly Ramayana…Where a skinny white rat(so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience he is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry..known for womanising and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy(which no one watched or want to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama…”she wrote.

Further, she stated that Yash would have been a perfect fit for the role of Lord Ram. “Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man a traditionalist also according to Valmiki ji description he looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanour and facial features…is offered to play Ravana…What kind of Kalyuga is this?? No pale-looking druggie soy boy should play Lord Rama.Jai Shri Ram (folding hands emoji),” she added.

Earlier, Kangana rubbished the reports of her being offered a movie with South star Dhanush via a Instagram story. Meanwhile, workwise, the actress will be seen in the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in upcoming political drama, Emergency.
