R Madhavan's son to prepare for Olympics 2026, actor and his wife move to Dubai to help him

Decoupled actor R. Madhavan has been married for 22 years and many woy=uld be aware that his son Vedaant is a swimming champ who has earned many accolades for the nation. Now, Vedaant is all set to prepare for Olympics 2026. This isn't going to be an easy journey, especially because India doesn't have large Olympics pools. And it is for this reason that Madhavan and his wife Sarita have decided to move to Dubai.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama , the actor said, “The larger swimming pools in Mumbai are either closed because of Covid or out of bounds. We are here with Vedaant in Dubai where he has access to large pools. He’s working towards the Olympics, and Sarita and I are right by his side.” 

He also revealed that he never wanted his child to try his hands at acting, but rather wanted him to follow his own passion. He added, “My wife Sarita and I went along with whatever our son wanted to do in his life. He’s been winning swimming championships all across the world and making us very proud. Let your child fly freely. Don’t stop him or her from pursuing any career. I’ve no regrets about Vedaant choosing not to be an actor. His chosen vocation is far more important to me than my own career. I’ll do what it takes to take him where he wants to go in life.”
