Rakul Preet Singh talks about reuniting with Ajay Devgn, says 'Runway 34 wasn't an easy film to shoot'

Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for her upcoming aviation thriller flick Runway 34 alongside Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan . The movie marks her second collaboration with Ajay, the first being the 2019 movie De De Pyaar De. Recently, the actress spoke about how different was it to work with Ajay in the two films.

Talking about the same in a group media interaction, Rakul Preet Singh said, “Both the films are very different so the atmosphere on set was very different. De De Pyaar De was very light-hearted and commercial so we could joke around on set. But here because he was the director and the film wasn't an easy one to shoot and it required a lot of attention from us, there was no time to converse much. As soon as the take is okay, Sir is setting up the next shot and he's checking everyone's performances. So, it’s very difficult what he's pulled off and also Runway 34 wasn't an easy film to shoot. He took up the responsibility of doing a not-done-before difficult film and acting plus directing it. So, it was a very tense situation on the set.”

Furthermore, the Yaariyan actress spoke about working with megastars like Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn in the same frame. Rakul Preet Singh said that she considered herself fortunate to have an opportunity to work with such icons who pushed her to deliver her best onscreen. The Aiyaary actress said, “I really loved the script. It’s a story about a girl who's a condom tester but is a family film. For me, that was the selling point and I think today through movies being such an important medium if there's a conversation which can be started, not preachily about why we have taboos of certain things. It touches upon a lot of things in a light-hearted way and I found it very interesting.” The movie Runway 34 is scheduled to release on April 29 and has also been helmed by Ajay Devgn.
