Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt didn’t tell Ayan Mukerji they were dating for this reason; here’s how he reacted on finding out

In April this year, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the nuptial knot in an intimate but beautiful wedding ceremony at their Bandra house. They chose the balcony, where they spent the last 5 years of their relationship, as the spot to get married. They fell in love soon after they began shooting for Brahmastra , which marks their first film together. Currently the happily married couple, who are expecting their first child together, is busy promoting the much awaited fantasy adventure film with their director and good friend Ayan Mukerji .

Recently at the launch of track Deva Deva, Ranbir revealed why he and Alia didn’t tell Ayan that they were dating. Hindustan Times quoted him saying, “Alia, Ayan and I have spent so much time making Brahmastra that so much has changed in our lives over the years. In these years, whenever we met, Ayan would always be obsessing over Brahmastra. After every conversation, Ayan would always be directing our attention towards Brahmastra. At one point, when Alia and I had started dating, we couldn’t even tell Ayan that we’d started seeing each other, fearing that he would freak out.”

But when he did finally find out that his lead actors were in a relationship, how did Ayan react? The director revealed, “I had a very mature reaction when Ranbir broke the news to me. I had to be at my best behaviour with my close friends.” While Brahmastra is Alia’s first film with Ayan, it marks Ranbir’s third collaboration with the filmmaker after Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The two films were blockbuster hits, which is why fans have very high expectations from Brahmastra. We wish Alia, Ranbir and Ayan good luck!
