Ranbir Kapoor - Alia Bhatt wedding: Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and others performed at the mehendi; Pic from rehearsals viral

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor get married today. The couple’s wedding celebrations began with a mehendi ceremony at the actor’s home Vaastu on Wednesday where the Kapoors and The Bhatts gathered for the festivities. The Brahmastra co-stars’ mehendi also included some special performances from the family members and a picture from the dance rehershals has now found its way online.

It has been reported that Ranbir’s family members including Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, cousins Kareena Kapoor , Karisma Kapoor , Anisha Jain, Tashu Nanda performed at various songs at the mehendi.

The picture going viral features Karisma, Anisha, Neetu, Tashu and the famous wedding choreographer Masterji Rajendra Singh.

Masterji has choreographed the Kapoors for various family events in the past and Ranbir’s wedding was no different. The family performed to popular tracks like ‘Mehndi hai rachne wali’, ‘Dholida’, ‘Cutie pie’ and ‘Tainu leke jawa ga’ among other songs according to reports.

A special performance by singer Prateek Kuhad was also a part of the mehendi celebrations.

Several other reports have claimed that Alia’s mentor Karan Johar was the first to apply mehendi on her hands on the special day while famous mehendi artist Veena Nagda applied the bridal mehendi for the actress.

There was lot of activity outside Vaastu on Wednesday afternoon where Karan Johar, Ayan Mukherji, Soni Razdaan, Shaheen Bhatt , Pooja Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt , Adar Jain, Anisha Malhotra, Rima Jain, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and several others arrived to join Ranbir and Alia in celebration.

Ranbir’s Bandra home Vaastu is also the location for his wedding this afternoon where some family members have already arrived this morning for the festivities to begin.

The biggest wedding of the season will be an intimate affair with only family and close friends in attendance. Alia will marry Ranbir in a traditional Punjabi wedding.
