Soon-to-be parents Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on Sunday sat for a live session with Ayan Mukerji to promote their upcoming movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. During the conversation, Ranbir called Alia ‘ Amitabh Bachchan ’ as he praised her acting skills.

It happened when Alia asked him to say favourite thing about working with her in Brahmastra. Ranbir rather chose to heap praises on her acting chops mentioning films like the 2014 film Highway. “I remember when I saw Highway and all, I came to Ayan and Karan who were hanging out together, and I said, ‘ye to Amitabh Bachchan nikli’.” he said while Alia lovingly looked at him. He added, “ My predictions have come true”, to which Alia replied, “ No, not at all.”

Ranbir further went on to reason out his inability to praise his wife wholeheartedly. He said, “Lekin ab biwi ke baare mein achhi cheeze bolunga, toh bolenge biwi hai to bol raha, but guys u know its true.(But now if I will say good things about my wife, they will say it because she is my wife). Then, Ayan reminds the couple of their favourite number 8 and also tells it is the reason why he chose July 17 to release the full song of Kesariya. Earlier, Ayan had shared a short glimpse of the song on the couple’s wedding day i.e April 14.
