Ranveer Singh says he did not upload nude photos in his statement to police; here’s what we know

Bollywood’s livewire Ranveer Singh is mostly in the news for his films or his quirky fashion sense. The actor has never shied away from expressing himself with the grand ensembles he wears, which some people might think are ‘over the top’ sometimes. But last month, Ranveer made headlines with what he didn’t wear! The actor stripped down to nothing for the cover of a popular magazine. He took the internet by storm with his nude photoshoot which received mixed reviews from several netizens.

While some lauded him for having the courage to go bold, others trolled him. But what most of us didn’t see coming was the FIR lodged against the actor at Chembur police station based on a complaint filed before the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. Well, Ranveer was summoned and on Monday morning he reached the station for questioning. He recorded his statement from 7 am to 9:30 am. According to a report shared by ETimes, in his statement Ranveer maintained that he had not uploaded the controversial photos.

The actor also said that he did not realize this nude photoshoot would create trouble for him. Well, some loved it whereas a few others were unhappy with it. But none of us can deny that this was indeed a bold step and a milestone in Ranveer’s career. On the work front, the actor was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar which impressed fans but bombed at the box office. Up next, he has Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus in his kitty, which marks his first ever double role, along with Alia Bhatt co-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which is being helmed by Karan Johar.
