Arun Vijay, who is currently busy in filming his upcoming project Retta Thala, recently took to his social media platforms to announce the completion of the first shooting schedule. Sharing this update, the actor unveiled a new poster from the film, showcasing him in a stylish appearance seated inside a vintage car. The poster exudes an aura of action-packed drama, hinting its imminent arrival on the big screens. The caption under the post read, “The action-packed first schedule of Retta Thala is officially wrapped.”

Is Retta Thala a reworked version of AR Murugadoss’ script for Ajith?

When the title and first-look poster for the movie were unveiled, fans noticed that Retta Thala was originally earmarked by AR Murugadoss for a project with Thala Ajith Kumar. For the unversed, Murugadoss and Ajith had plans for a collaboration under the same title, but the project failed to materialise and was eventually scrapped.

Directed by Kris Thirukumaran, known for his work on Sivakarthikeyan's Maan Karate and previously an assistant to AR Murugadoss, Retta Thala now carries the same title. Reports suggest that Kris has developed an entirely new script for the film, separate from Murugadoss' project.

    Retta Thala

Kris himself has described Retta Thala as an action thriller starring Arun Vijay in dual roles. He shared, “Ondril irundhu ondru (one from one), ondru kaga ondru (one for one), ondru kondru ondru (one kills one). This is the one-liner and the basic idea of the film.” Arun Vijay is set to undergo a huge physical transformation for his five different character looks in the movie.
