Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalls being uncomfortable during Pushpa’s Oo Antava shoot, here’s why

Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals she was shaking instead of feeling sexy during the shoot of Pushpa song Oo Antava

Samantha Ruth Prabhu lit up the dance floor with her performance in Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise with the song Oo Antava. During a recent interview, Samantha candidly discussed her experience shooting the track, revealing it was quite an uncomfortable shoot for her as an actor. She recalled the challenges she faced and spoke of her legs shaking during filming, describing it as very difficult.

Samantha said during the India Today Conclave, “I have always operated from a space of ‘I’m not good enough, I don’t feel pretty, I don’t look like the other girls. So for me, it was a huge challenge. It was actually the first shot of Oo Antava… I was shaking from fear because sexy is not my thing. It’s not my thing. But how I’ve grown both as an actor and as a person is I’ve always made sure that I put myself in the most uncomfortable, unforgiving, very difficult circumstances."

She further admitted, "I think that, for me, it was the lyrics. It was a challenge. And I think we can move past judging women for wanting to look good. We can do everything. We can look good."

Apart from Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the famous song also starred Allu Arjun. Currently, the filming for Pushpa 2: The Rule is in progress, which will feature actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The movie will hit the theatres on August 15 this year.

Meanwhile, on work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in Kushi, which was a romantic drama co-starring Vijay Deverakonda. Her upcoming project includes the Indian adaptation of Citadel, alongside Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, and the film will be directed by Raj and DK.
