Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep: ‘People did make me feel like we were the unsuccessful wing of the Kapoor family

Like any other industry, making a career in Bollywood is not cake walk. While some are successful at making a mark, there are many who might have to struggle for a bit longer. Actor Sanjay Kapoor , who began his journey in 1995, falls in the second category. Despite being from one of the most prominent families of the film industry, the Kapoor Khaadaan, Sanjay didn’t have much success as a lead star. However, he is now enjoying his second innings on the digital platform, which gave him one more chance to prove himself.

In the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 7 , Sanjay’s wife Maheep Kapoor will talk about the lows they faced as a family during his Bollywood journey. While sipping coffee with Karan Johar , she will reveal, “There were times when Sanjay was sitting at home for years with no work. Money was tight. My kids have grown up seeing that along with the glamour and glitz.” Maheep will go on to share, “The people around me at times did make me feel like we were the unsuccessful wing of the Kapoor family.”

Maheep, who is currently winning hearts with her sassy personality on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives season 2, will be joined by her good friends Bhavana Pandey and Gauri Khan on the koffee couch. While Maheep will open up about Sanjay’s acting career, Gauri will reveal how the tag of being Shah Rukh Khan’s wife doesn’t always work in her favor.
