Shahid wants to dance through life with ‘lover’ Mira; Alia-Ranbir continue promotions despite Ujjain fiasco

Shahid Kapoor has declared his unconditional love for wife Mira Rajput on various occasions. Well, celebrating her birthday today, he once again took to social media to remind her how deeply he feels for her. Along with a picture-perfect snap where the couple is twinning in yellow, he wrote: “Happy birthday my lover. May we dance through life’s ups and downs together. Hand in hand with a smile on the face and a twinkle in the eyes.” This photograph was clicked at Mira’s parents’ 40th wedding anniversary last month.

While Shahid celebrated Mira’s birthday, his Udta Punjab co-star Alia Bhatt continued promotions for her film Brahmastra. The actress along with her husband Ranbir Kapoor was in Ujjain recently, where they were stopped from entering a temple to seek blessings and attacked by an angry mob of protesters. Despite the fiasco, they reached Delhi today with their director Ayan Mukerji and interacted with the media at a press show in the national capital. Alia even crooned the romantic track Kesariya beautifully for a member of the audience.

Dressed in a purple jacket paired with distressed denims, Alia was basking in the glow of her pregnancy. Meanwhile Ranbir, dressed in shades of brown, was mesmerized by his wife’s abundant talent. Brahmastra marks their first film together. What makes it even more special is that their love story began while working on this passion project and now when the film is ready for release, they are expecting their first baby.

Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna along with Shah Rukh Khan in a much awaited cameo, the fantasy adventure film is the first in a planned trilogy. It is all set to arrive in theatres this weekend.
