'Shocked and appalled by this country' : Uorfi Javed reveals receiving death threat for her Chhote Pandit look

Uorfi Javed unleashed her creativity recently by recreating Rajpal Yadav’s Chhote Pandit look from the hit horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The actress had also given it a Doja Cat twist. However, now she has opened up about receiving death threats after the same.

Talking about the same, Uorfi wore a red bodysuit with an orange dhoti salwar. The former Bigg Boss OTT contestant completed her look by painting her entire face red, wearing a marigold garland around her neck, and keeping two agarbattis in her hair, which was wrapped in a bun. She had also opted for a fake mustache along with the look. She inserted the song ‘Hey Sexy Lady’ by Shaggy in the same. Take a look.

Now, the Chandra Nandini actress has taken to her Twitter handle to share screenshots of emails sent to her which comprise of death threats. In one of the screenshots, she is threatened with being killed off if she does not delete the video while in the other email sender also threatens to shoot her in broad daylight using some strong language and abuse. Uorfi captioned the same stating, “I’m just shocked and appalled by this country mahn, I’m getting death threats in recreating a character from a movie where as that character didn’t get any backlash.” Take a look at the same.

One of the netizens advised her to file a police complaint against such people. The tweet said, “Make a police complaint. People think there are no repercussions for saying things online, show them that there is.” However, some users continued trolling her and asked her to not play with the religious sentiments of people.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Uorfi will be making her Bollywood debut soon. She will be seen in Love, Sex Aur Dhoka 2. The movie will be produced by Ekta Kapoor.
