Siddhant Chaturvedi has bagged several promising projects after his powerful performance as MC Sher in Gully Boy. The actor got to romance Deepika Padukone in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan and now he is all geared up to share screen space with Katrina Kaif in Phone Bhoot . That’s not all, he has Zoya Akhtar’s backed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Farhan Akhtar’s produced Yudhra in the pipeline. The actor recently got candid about his criteria for selecting scripts.

Siddhant said that he wants to do films that have a fresh script and especially talk about youth. He went on to say that he finds it tough to attempt the same thing which Bollywood legends have already done as he won’t be able to match up to that level. Hence he wants to define his own path. “I feel I won’t even be able to match up to that. So I’ll have to define my own path and will have to look for my own way. In that obviously trial and error will happen, you keep trying and picking up things which are new, but that’s what I would want to do for the next five years at least in my head,” he told Pinkvilla.

Further, Siddhant revealed what his next two films Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Yudhra have in common. He said that both films talk about his generation and also push the boundary. “I want to do things which talk about my generation, talk about the youth because I think there is a huge divide which has come in the last ten years with smartphones. There is something that has happened, which has just opened the world in a way where we all are very close, and connected socially. So I want to talk about my generation, maybe grow that, and someday that will be the mass (content). I mean that’s what (Kho Gaye Hum Kahan), and even Yudhra the action film which I am doing. Even that is pushing the boundary in action. So I am trying to always go for it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is directed by Arjun Varain Singh and also stars Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles. On other hand, Yudhra is helmed by Ravi Udyawar and features Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.
