    Shraddha Kapoor ’s brother and actor Siddhant Kapoor was recently released on bail after being detained on charges of alleged drug consumption. In his latest statement, the actor said that he will cooperate with the Bengaluru police and that the cops should continue what they are doing to save many lives.

    Siddhant was called for the investigation on Tuesday at Bengaluru’s Ulsoor police station. After a day-long interrogation, the actor stated, “I was at the hotel and there was an investigation going on. I have been cooperating. The Bangalore police have been really good, they are doing a great job. They should continue what they are doing to save many lives.”

    The son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor has also shared his photo from the flight post his bail. He can be seen posing for a selfie wearing a mask with a friend on Instagram. He captioned the photo with a prayer-sign emoticon and a heart. Have a look:

    On the other hand, Siddhant’s lawyer Praveen Muguli said that his client will come for investigation purposes. “The alleged offences are bailable in nature. Yesterday he (Siddhanth) was released on bail. Today he came for statement. The police have recorded the statement. He will cooperate and he will come for investigation purposes. Anytime he’s asked to come, he will corporate with the police, “ he said in a statement.

    Siddhant was among the people who was suspected to have consumed drugs at a party on Sunday night. He was reportedly released on bail along with the four other people. According to ANI, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for East Bengaluru, Bheema Shankar Gulled revealed that the actor’s sample tested positive for drugs. "Siddhanth Kapoor's medical shows he had consumed drugs. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We will be sending him to judicial custody," he said.

    Acting on a tip-off, the Bengaluru police raided a hotel on MG Road where the party was taking place and detained 35 people. “We didn't find any drugs on their person but found MDMA and ganja disposed of nearby. We will investigate CCTV to check who disposed it of," added DCP Guled.
